EXPOSITION TEXT

LDKS (basic student leadership training) or leadership basic training is one of the school activities which aims to train students' leadership skills. This activity was carried out by all grade 10 students organized by the TNI and lasted for 3 days. This Training includes exercises to test our abilities if we can survive living with the pressure like the military.

For 3 Days we did the activities that the military had already arranged for us, we learned how to eat with a short amount of time, we did some military outbounds, and walked through the woods at night.

LDKS showed that we have to be disciplined with time, prepared and showed us to respect anyone. When there is an easting session you only get a short amount of tine and have to finish all the food on the table with other people, there you learn to divide the tasks, divide the food evenly, and eat quickly.

There was a lot of material distributed by the military in the hall, when someone spoke in front of us we were not allowed to put our feet on our feet, we were not allowed to slouch and we were taught that we had to keep listening even if we were sleepy.

Military Outbound is held near the orchid forest, we carry out the outbound like an army flying fox where we only hold a rope to support our body and try to throw knives and axes. The aim of knife throwing training is so that we can control our emotions and focus on the target we want to aim for.

A memorable thing that you will remember is walking in the woods at night without any lighting, inside the woods there will be many challenges, for example a “ghost” or a military dressed as a ghost will jump on you and scare you but you have to stay calm and focus on your way to keep walking straight.

Overall leadership basic training teaches and tests us to be more disciplined and alert in all matters.
