SDGS CLIMATE CHANGE

TAKE URGENT ACTION TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGEAND ITS IMPACT

This poster about climate change shows that the world we live in is in danger. The  intensity of extreme weather such as heat waves, floods, tornadoes, sea levels increasing 2 times higher, a global warming stage, lots of natural disasters are coming, lastly the climate finance is nearly up to 6 trillion. All of this is caused by humans, without transformation action starting now to reduce greenhouse gas emissions deeply and rapidly in all sectors.

to limit global warming to 1.5° C above pre industrial levels, emissions must already be decreasing and need to be cut by almost half

If left unchecked, climate change will cause average global temperatures to increase beyond 3°C, and will adversely affect every ecosystem. Already, we are seeing how climate change can exacerbate storms and disasters, and threats such as food and water scarcity, which can lead to conflict. Doing nothing will end up costing us a lot more than if we take action now.

To address climate change, we have to vastly raise our ambition at all levels. Much is happening around the world - investments in renewable energy have soared. But more needs to be done. The world must transform its energy, industry, transport, food, agriculture and forestry systems to ensure that we can limit global temperature rise to well below 2°C, maybe even 1.5°C. In December 2015, the world took a significant first step by adopting the Paris Agreement, in which all countries committed to take action to address climate change. However, more actions are critically needed in order to meet the targets.

rom the pictures above we know that from 1850 to 2022 the temperature of the world becomes more warmer and warmer. What we need that the poster tells us that GHG or greenhouse gas has to be reduced by 43% and net zero by 2025. GHG stands for Greenhouse Gas. These gases, including carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and others, trap heat in the Earth's atmosphere, contributing to the greenhouse effect. Human activities, such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation, have increased the concentration of these gases, leading to concerns about global warming and climate change. Where we are? The poster tells us that the world will be 1.5°C by 2025 and we will be experiencing 15x higher mortality rates from natural disasters and the rate of sea levels has rised by 2 times because of glaciers melting

What we can do:
1) build knowledge and capacity to meet climate change to raise awareness
2) find a goal 13 charity to donate and make a difference
3) recycle reduce reuse plastik glass metal and old electronics
4) use reusable products
5) walk, use a bike and take a public transport to decrease co2 (carbon dioxide)
6) plant a tree because plants can convert carbon dioxide through oxygen through photosynthesis.
